Sheridans Cheesemongers hosted the second Harvest Festival on Sunday 4th September. The festival was a celebration of food grown or produced within a 50 mile radius of our Virginia Road Station headquarters in Co Meath.
This event followed on from the huge success of last year’s Harvest festival as well as our Irish Food Festival in May of this year, when over sixty Irish food producers and more than 5000 people attended.
The event was again free to attend, including; parking, kid’s activities, music and more and ran from 10am to 6pm.
Festival Exhibitors...
We were delighted to have so many local producers in attendance.
Farmhouse cheese producers included Bellingham Blue and Glebe Brethan, ice-cream producer Bernie Burke, Aine’s Chocolates as well as many more artisan producers of jams and chutneys, bakers, fish smokers, small butchers, organic growers and many more. We also had several areas where local food was cooked and served on site.
